Baseball Stadium Approved - Purdue To Replace 45-Year-Old Lambert Field With New Facility In 2012

Since Purdue's baseball program began playing at Lambert Field 45 years ago, new or upgraded facilities have been noticeable throughout the Big Ten. When the 2012 season starts, the Boilermakers will finally join that list. Purdue's Board of Trustees approved financing for construction of a new baseball stadium and improvements to the Varsity Soccer Complex on Friday. The $21 million project is part of the Mackey Complex master plan that was approved in May 2007. Link
