Russiaville To Get Community Center
4/8/2010

KOKOMO PERSPECTIVE - Pat Munsey

RUSSIAVILLE -- For years, the Russiaville Lions Club's building on the town's north side has served as a gathering place for smaller community and personal events. And for years, the youth baseball and softball programs in the town have had to make do with just a single diamond for each league. That is all about to change. Those organizations are joining with the town of Russiaville to fund the construction of a community center and two new ball diamonds adjacent to the current ballfields and Lions Club building. According to town parks board chairman Rick Homkes, construction will begin on the community center this spring and should be completed later this year. The new ballfields will come along in 2011. The project has been three years in the making. Link
