State Announces 300 New Jobs

Indianapolis -- The City of Indianapolis and the state of Indiana officially put out the welcome mat for a Fortune 500 company Wednesday. Express Scripts, which acquired Wellpoint's Next Rx, announced it will invest nearly $5.2 million consolidating its specialty pharmacy operations in the facility near the Indianapolis Airport. Zipp Speed Weaponry, a bicycle components manufacturer, will expand operations in Indianapolis. According to the state, it will create a combined 300 new jobs and create $17.5 million in investment. Zipp Speed Weaponry, which designs and manufactures wheels, bars and accessories for racing bicycles, will invest $12.4 million to construct a new 70,000 square-foot manufacturing and customer service center on Indianapolis' northwest side. The company plans to begin hiring manufacturing and customer service associates in the second quarter of 2010 as construction is completed on the new facility. Link
