Housing Authority To Add 23 Units

TERRE HAUTE -- An architect has been hired for a project to add 23 housing units for the Terre Haute Housing Authority. Steve Arnold of MMS-A/E in Terre Haute will design the renovation of two unused apartment buildings on Lockport Road south of Hulman Street. The project also will add seven housing units. "This is the largest single project we'll do for some time," housing authority director Jeff Stewart said during Wednesday morning's brief meeting. Funding will come in part from $1.8 million in economic stimulus money that the housing authority received in the spring. Additional funds will come from the 2009 capital projects account, Stewart said. Link
